Nabeela Ariqat received her bachelor's degree in molecular, cellular, and developmental Biology from UCSC in 2021, working with Dr. Lindsay Hinck on understanding mammary gland development and milk production. After graduating she joined the Kampmann lab at UCSF where she worked on uncovering mechanisms behind Tau aggregation in the context of neurodegenerative diseases. Nabeela joined the Paredes Lab as a MSTP student in 2026, hoping to utilize organoid modelling to further uncover mechanisms behind Neurodevelopmental disorders. During her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors or with her partner and 2 cats, Suki and Garnet.
